Smart Snacking

DO YOU SNACK IN BETWEEN MEALS?
Stop snacking is easier said than done, depending on what you're snacking on and how much you're eating, your after-dinner habit could lead to weight gain and digestion issues like heartburn, which also affects the quality of your sleep,
The rest are performed by your unconscious mind and can lead to mindless eating, which may cause you to overeat, sabotaging your weight loss journey.

Here are some useful tips on how to stop snacking habits:

HAVE A DRINK INSTEAD
- Drink a full glass of water, sparkling water or diet soda, coffee, or tea. Confuse your hunger with thirst.

REPLACE SNACKFOOD WITH HEALTHY FOOD
- Start off with organizing your food snacks, plan snacks that are quick and easy comfort foods to eat and prepare.

CONSIDER EATING BIGGER MEALS
- This will allow you to be full for longer, it is very important that you eat enough otherwise the cravings for snacks will keep coming.

BUY SINGLE-SERVE PACKAGES
- If you cannot completely cut off your favourite nibbles, start off with minimizing their portions. On your next grocery spree, try to pick up individual portions, smaller portions will help you eat less.

AVOID SNACKING WHILE MULTI-TASKING
- Snacking while keeping busy will distract you from the amount of food you are consuming, This leads to both poor choices in food and overindulgence in snacking.
