Stay FIT6 in December!

Stay FIT6 in December!

Without a doubt, December is the month when we allow ourselves the greatest deviation from our diet. Christmas tables set with a variety of delicious dishes and sweet desserts encourage everyone to explore many different flavours. This usually results in the fact that we enter the New Year not only older but also several kilograms heavier. In many cases, it is accompanied by indigestion, bloating and unpleasant digestion disorders. In this post, we wish to advise you on how to take care of it during this particular period.

The digestive system works in a certain rhythm. Following the principles of the FIT6 program, we get used to five light meals eaten at regular intervals throughout the day. During the holidays, we often forget about this rule, as a result of which our stomachs refuse to obey us, become sore and can't digest the constantly served food. The most common symptoms of overeating are abdominal pain, overflow of stomach contents, gas, heartburn and nausea.

Avoid fasting on Christmas Eve

From a dietary point of view, starving yourself in the morning in order to eat more in the evening is counterproductive, as an empty stomach, which is suddenly given a huge dose of food, cannot cope with it. Thus, celebrate Christmas dinner - eat slowly, chew thoroughly and don't talk too much while you are eating. This will help to avoid excess gas in the digestive tract causing painful bloat.

And when you overeat ...

... support the body with herbal tea or a food supplement. Detox Herbal Infusion is perfect for this - a mixture of herbs that supports cleansing processes of the body and perfectly supports digestion. Base your diet on wholesome protein products such as poultry, eggs, lean and semi-skimmed cheeses, vegetables and carbohydrates in small amounts. Eat your meals steamed, raw or stewed in a light sauce with no fat added.

Don't forget about physical activity! Movement is very important because it stimulates the digestive system by itself. Even a simple walk will bring you the relief you want.

Minor deviations from the daily diet happen to everyone, and there's nothing wrong with that as long as they don't become unhealthy habits! Remember that the holidays last three days only and there is no need to feast an extra day on this occasion.
